Where is Gulfcoast Physical Therapy Located?

We are located on the southwest corner of Beneva & Clark Road In the Beneva Village Shops. Our physical address is 3568 Clark Rd., Sarasota, Florida 34231. Our phone number is (941)-924-8868.

 

Which of my insurance providers do you cover?

Some of the more common insurance carriers we provide service for include: Aetna, Align Networks, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Choice Care Network, Corvel IQ, First Health/Coventry, Humana National POS, Medicare and United Healthcare. No matter which insurance carrier you are with, you may contact us with your insurance information and we will verify your coverage and benefits before your first visit.

 

Does my insurance plan cover therapy?

Most insurance companies cover physical and occupational therapy depending on your plan. Medicare covers 80% and if you have a secondary plan they usually cover the other 20%. For commercial insurance, you may be responsible for a deductible, co-pay or percentage of that carriers Fee schedule. As a courtesy, we will call your insurance carrier to verify your benefits. We also encourage you to call as well.

 

Are your therapists licensed?

Yes. All our therapists are Florida licensed. We are also required to take continuing education courses on an ongoing basis to maintain our licensure.

 

Are your therapists experienced?

Yes. We have a combined experience of over 80 years experience in the field.

 

Is Gulfcoast Physical in business with a doctor or other medical group?

No. Gulfcoast Physical Therapy is privately owned and operated by Kevin Wicks and Thomas Gilberti.

 

Do I need a doctor's order/prescription to come to therapy?

No. We can legally treat someone for 30 consecutive days without an order/prescription for physical therapy. Beyond that, one is required. If you need Occupational Therapy/Hand Therapy an order/prescription IS required.

 

When I saw my doctor, they recommended I go to therapy being offered at their office. Do I have to go there?

No. It is patient choice where you receive therapy. Most physicians send their patients to therapy based on logistics, unless they have financial interest in the establishment.

 

Will I have the same therapist every time I go to therapy?

Yes. We are strong believers in continuity of care. We work as a team and others may assist along the way. We do this so the patient gets to know each of us in the event that their therapist is out of the office or on vacation.

 

Do you contact my doctor on how I'm doing?

Yes. When you return to your doctor for your follow-up visit we will send a progress report. If no follow-up is required by your physician, we will send a report upon completion of your therapy.

 

Can I stop by and take a look at your establishment?

Of course. We invite you to come down and take a look at our clinic. Also, if you would like to speak to one of the therapists prior to starting your treatment we will do our best to make that happen as well.
